But alas, I have "funny" knees.....
My cardio is great, I could go for a few miles, but my knees tell me "URCH"!

I 'ran', no pun intended, onto a amazing running technique;

This book has changed, me (and my sweethearts) way of running. Basically it makes gravity work for you and not against you!
I was only running a 1/2 a mile a day due to know pain, and now

2.25 whole miles....YIPPEE!

Re "Creation"....AKA Exercise!

Finding Freedom is not so much a "doing" as it is an "undoing"....
And that is what recreation is for me!
Time is crazy for all of us, so I have found what works for me!
Yoga right out of bed....
Yoga after a daily workout (which I will explain later)
Yoga before crawling into bed!
So as you can see Yoga is my anti-stress!
Let's Break it down......
I wake up and do a 10 minute Yoga Podcast with my IPod
(it is a free podcast downloaded from I-Tunes)
Then my "main" workout is riding my bike, running, anything cardio. And then I cool down with a audio Yoga
(that was free from I-Tunes)
called
"Yoga for Runners" by Kimberly Fowler
Now before bed I totally need to unwind.....more Yoga!

Breakfast starts with a Smoothie.......

I blend fruit with water/baby coconut and things like Hemp Protien Powder.
Easy recipe (feeds 2...share with someone you love);
1 baby coconut (meat and water) or just 1 c. water
2 bananas
1 mango
2 handfuls of Spinach....trust me here, it's good
1 orange (add a touch of the peel..mmmm)
*Blend away and enjoy!


Lunch can be a GIANT Salad;
Yup, fill your plate or lunch box!
*Salad greens such as spinach, or kale, or romaine are my personal favorites (stay away from a "head of lettuce" at the store, it has NO nutrient value)!
*Sprouts I love red clover sprouts, or alfalfa sprouts!!!
*Celery, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, avacado (its ok to eat a whole one, good healthy fats.
*Sesame Seeds #1 source of calcium that your body can actually use...I know not related to a cow at all...haha!
**Now I have to end my meals sweetly, so I will pack a few dried figs! They don't affect my blood sugar!!!
Dinner for me (the raw thing...) might be SPAGHETTI;
Recipe;
"Noodle" a Zuchinni in spirals (whether you use a hand tool or spirilizer it tastes the same...)
Blend the following for your "Spaghetti Sauce";
15 cherry tomatoes (or a couple full size tomatoes)
4 baby carrots (or two full-size carrots)
1 green onion (finely chopped)
oregano
salt & pepper to taste
*Slice a cucumber and lay it on your plate, sprinkle a little salt....Mmmmm
*Or grab some celery and some RAW almond butter and dip and crunch!

I am continuing to "gather" recipes, stragedys, and ways to make my Whole Food Living work for me!

Let me give you a example of my day;
Breakfast;
16 oz Young Coconut Water (slept in...late morning)
Lunch;
32 oz. Banana Blueberry Coconut Milk Smoothie...mmmm about 1:30 pm
Bowl of banana & cacao(raw chocolate) pudding
Dinner;
Plate of Scrumptious Pad Thai Salad with Almond/Thai dressing
Mug of Tasty Autumn Soup....tasted like pumpkin pie!
Did that sound boring?

Raw..Vegan...What?

What?
Yup - no typo, RAW Vegan Living!
Why?
Well when I have the choice to control my 'diabetes' (doctors diagnosis, I say just another warning sign that my body is "out-of-whack") by letting food be my medicine, or
letting drugs rule my life....I chose
Letting food be my medicine!!!
So I started by just being vegan
(nothing that comes from an animal)
and then I started RAW-Vegan
(Whole food eating....uncooking I call it. Nothing heated above the temperature 115 degree's, and whole food meaning nothing processed)
When?
About 4 years ago, and raw for a year!
How?
Hopefully this blog will walk you through the steps
and make more sense of my world!
